Streetwear meets carnival in this bright and bold collection which featured everything from orange mesh trousers to tunic prints made from photographs of football players, taking ‘sportswear’ in its most literal sense. There was a little bit of everything, from bright yellow babydoll dresses to fur-leather bomber jackets all tied together with a futuristic digital vibe throughout. Dresses featured recurring motifs such as the stripes of bright colour, complete with slits down the middle; an idea inspired by the work of Lucio Fontana.

Sports luxe taken to new heights: leather, mesh and airtex were combined with cuts, and signature prints which have found their way from the feet of enthusiasts and shoe bloggers everywhere, to the runway; this was undoubtedly one for the sneakerheads. Inspired heavily by the iconic designs and styles of Nike (I spy Air Jordan 3 Retro), this collection took streetwear and turned it sleek and streamlined. With front row support from the likes of Tyga, Miguel and Nicki Minaj, Alexander Wang’s latest homage to urban is in my opinion, one of his best collections to date.
